Walled Garden

Working with an existing walled garden which surrounds a beautiful home, planting was pared back within the garden so that its best feature, the walls, could be enjoyed.  Key specimen trees and shrubs were saved and carefully pruned to raise their crowns to allow light into the border. Borders were reshaped and dramatic new beds created and filled with formal, evergreen Bay trees underplanted with abundant cottage garden style planting. Specimen trees such as Japanese Maples, Tibetan Cherry and multi-stem Silver Birch were planted to create focal points and paths were cut into the grass to create view lines and destinations within the garden.
