Bespoke Planters

A project to soften and compliment a beautiful Victorian terraced city home.

Heavy tarmac and concrete prevented excavation work to create new beds in much of the garden so our focus was on reframing how to maximise this elegant family home by designing and commissioning bespoke steel planters to perfectly wrap around the bay windows.  Planting out using evergreen Bay Laurels, small shrubs and seasonal planting works to soften the façade and ensure a year-round welcome to this home. Matching rectangular containers were planted with hedging to offer privacy along the boundary. Integrating a gravel seating area and central bed with feature Japanese Acer adds extra interest and depth.
